    Wehrmacht Pole Top

    Dear Mates ,

I saw that there are more thread about this kind of item, so i don't know if is correct to open a new one. Sorry if i do it wrong.

I would like to read your opinions about this item that i have in my collection.

I was, and i am, sure that is an original one but is never bad to have more opinions.

As you can see it was broken and it was repaired IMO quite well.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello YORCHH:
IMO, an authentic Heer pole top based on
correct details, bottom markings, etc. As such
worth IMO around $5000 USD or thereabouts.

Looks good to me. Broken or not, always nice to see a nice original.

This is obviously an original top, but am I the only one who finds it strange that the "PC" designer's mark for Paul Casberg is on the wrong side? I have seen dozens of these over the years and every one had the mark correctly placed on the reverse. Very interesting

Great catch Bob! You're spot on. That is strange. Perhaps the pole sleeve was part of the repair and was put on reversed or if the eagle/swas was reinserted reversed.

Ditto. Looks to me like the eagle was remounted
reversed in the tear drop repair, as noted by the
wing tip and lower swastika arm point cracks.
Wondering what the value impact would now be?

                      Another broken Heer Top ...

My WAF friend Military wrote to me ...
                      "
There is an army Heer top that will be
on auction soon in May. It is from the
                      Auctionhaus Andreas Thies. Broken top
but otherwise comes very nicely with
                      the pole and accessories."

                          Mike,

The centre SS Glockenspiel eagle is very nice.
