    German flare gun cartridge

    Hello,
A lot of cartridge has been found in my area.
There’s no date on it, and obviously there never was.
    What do you think ?
Manufacturer "cbl" for the whole lot
    Thank you.
    Best regards.
    Patrick.

    Interesting find.

Usually German flares have an expiration date printed on the body of the cartridge.

I agree, all those I have seen had much maker and production date info printed. Not saying these are bad...but strange. What does it say on the boxes?

I already had some of the same cartridges , coming from stocks left in the south
        of France in 1944 .
Simplified markings used in 44 ?

              Hello,
              Thank you for these answers.
Sorry Nick, I had not seen your comment.
This lot comes from the quarries of Jonzac "France" from the famous Kriegsmarine ammunition depot.
Attacked in 1944 by a resistance fighter who worked in it.
The depot will be partially destroyed.
              Regards.
              Patrick.

Nice discovery. Yes, some late war flares do not have much information stamped on them.
