    Rare highly sophisticate pistol

    Not really. I bought this one from the picker today. He got it from estate. Unfortunately I am not sure if this is ww2 bringback pacific island field made piece or Viet Cong made weapon. I had to buy it, it is not something you see every day.
    It looks like they used old flintlock barrel.
    Any input would be appreciated.

      In Vietnam? During a war?
      Because I know if you tried to bring that in the suitcase today, you will be in trouble.

        Not necessarily during a war....Without flintlock or percussion, it's only means to fire would be with a long matchstick type apparatus....It's also lacking some form of ramrod and one of the wicker bands....And if it's something made for the tourist trade, chances are the barrel/ignition orfice are non-functioning any way.....Bodes
