Hi everyone,
This is my first post here.
I'm the author of "The FN FAL Primer: The Collector's Guide to the FAL and SLR Rifles".
As I continue research into other arms, search engines hits often turn up this site, and I find the information more accurate and thorough.
My latest round of research is concerning the work termination dates (roughly) of the MG42 factories. More specifically, the factories that made the receivers.
The one I am troubled with is DKK Scharfenstein. There is a lot of erroneous info on this factory on the internet, particularly mis-spellings of nearby cities, etc. I believe this Scharfenstein was the one near Chemnitz & Dresden.
Can anyone confirm this for me?
Thanks!
