Luger P08 1916 Unit marking question

Hi, I've got hold of a luger from 1916 with unit markings on the grip.

It says: 107 R. 3. M.G.K.12.

To my understanding that is the 107th regiment, 3th machinengewehr kompanie, weapon 12.

Is there any way to find out more about this weapon? like who owned it, or where it has been?

It was a unit in the II Royal Saxon Corps. Here is a link. Do a little searching on the net to provide info on the unit. But I think you will not find any info about the pistol owner.
