    New Holster ID Help

    Hello,

    I just got this new holster and was wondering which pistol its for. I think it might but an HSC but I am not too sure...

    Please let me know what you think.

    you're right, mauser HSC by Gustave Genschow made in 1941. some say will also hold mauser 1934. all I've seen had HSC in them. decent holster with apparantly german captains name in flap.

      I think that is
      a feldpost number for a Luftwaffe unit.
      You have a good chance to identify the unit of this Captain.

        Here is what I found on that Feldpost No. 24758:

        (16.2.1941-18.7.1941) II. Gruppe Kampf-Geschwader 27. Boelcke...looks like it was an HE111 bomber group

        Cant really find anything on someone named Erich Berg...at least I think thats what it says.

          I found your man:

          BERG, Erich. 15.12.44 Hptm., appt Techn.Offz. in II./KG 27 (to 10.04.45).

          He was a Technical Officer (not an aircrew) in the Gruppe II of the Kampfgeschwader 27 until April 10th, 1945. As he was promoted on December 15, 1944 you can nail the issue period of this holster.
