Remington arms – union metallic ctg co. Rem. Works, ilion. N.y. U.s.a. Patd. Oct. 22

    Hello,

I recently found this spare part in my basement reserve.

It is in quite good shape and marked:

REMINGTON ARMS – UNION METALLIC CTG CO. REM. WORKS, ILION. N.Y. U.S.A. PATD. OCT. 22. 1901.

As I'm collecting WWI & WWII firearms only, I would like to yield this spare part.

Could you please let me know about the approximate value ??
Is it a common spare-part or rather rare ?

I really appreciate your advice & comments !!

    Thanks,

    Ferdinand W.

Problem is that it is missing all the internal parts which would be virtually impossible to find, and not economically feasible to restore if you could find the parts. It has just about been reduced to a paper weight.

    Maybe $50 U.S.
