Got this for a while now…….where does it belong to, which gun? Could not determine any stamp or number.

      Hi Carles,

what do you mean by "rifle reworked" ? Not Standard, but fitted to a specific rifle?

      Thanks!

Given the maximum setting at 50M, it's most likely from an air rifle, most likely a military type.

Certainly a crappy airrifle as it’s a alu alloy or zink.
Also numbers don’t give any other choise either

well, definately steel, and too big for an air rifle. And I think it is not 50m, I think it is a scale for 500m

              Hello!

This this the rear sight of an "early" version (produced before and including 1942) Russian PPSh-41 submashine gun

A sub-machine gun with a maximum effective range to 500 metres ? .Most are effective up to less than half that range.

I believe that the early PPSH41 utilised parts from recycled firearms etc so if the sight unit is from damaged or re processed mosin nagants etc they may be modified to fit but not as you say fit for use out to 500mtr.

Pretty sure our Russian associate will be able to expand. Unless of course the reprocessing bit is all a wartime fairy tale?? (although it has to be said the sight as pictured does look like its been modified form original)

                  Regards

Yep, seems it could be an early Ppsh 41 tangent rear sight:

                        That explanation is quite credible.

That is exactly it...and scale to 50 Meters. Makes sense on a submachine gun!
