So recently I found a local seller that was offering this kar98k rifle. I'm no expert on guns or their markings, so I tried to do a little research myself. From what I can tell of the markings on here, the skull doesn't look right. It might be hard to see because the only camera I had available is the one on my phone, but there's a small runic SS2 mark next to the skull. There's also a couple of small runic SS marks next to the eagle above the "dou" marking. Besides the markings pictured, there's nothing else really remarkable about it. Looks like any other kar98k. Maybe a little too new? Not my area of expertise. I have no idea about the leather shoulder strap. Would be cool if the rifle was real, but I doubt it. Any input about its unlikely authenticity is appreciated.
