A mismatched P 38 is still a mismatch P 38, but would an AC 40 frame and slide that are matched have more value as a mismatch than a regular P 38? Barrel is mismatched. Haven’t checked grips or locking lug, I may go take a gander. Chris

If the rest are matched, it could be worth a bit more. There have been a few zero series and such as well floating around with mismatched barrels or lugs that are up for 1300, more or less. Some have sold or stayed stagnant as condition plays a part. Hard to tell if a armorer repair or done post-war.
Depending on the price, some early pistols do sell as shooters or placeholders. They do sell for a bit more because of the "history" and as cheap alternatives, but an AC40 may sell for as much as a lesser conditioned matching later P.38.
