Thanks guys! Yes, it was a great find, and was very reasonable as well. However, when I found the pistol it was in very poor condition. I didn't think of it at the time, but I should have taken before and after photos of it.
    You really wouldn't believe it!

GWA, Yes, this is an early Krieghoff commercial re-worked.
Why does my holster "bewilder" you though?

      Luger holster

      Matt,
How about taking a look at this Luger holster? Bought it years ago with a beat-up 1913 in it. Thanks.

Most interesting lesson in the area of re-works Matt. I am shocked how good the refin looks. No rounding of the stamps and seems to have not been taken down much. Can you tell us how they did it and who they are? Landy

Thanks Landy. Ken Carstad is the man who did the restoration job on this one.
He is located just out of Chicago, and is one of the best at restoring Krieghoffs in my humble opinion. His work is very good. Like I said, I should have taken a before and after photos of it, because you really wouldn't beleive what it looked like before!

Your holster looks different than mine? Looks like the body is brown, while the flap looks died black. Closure strap is different than mine, and belk loops are as well. Stitching looks brown? Not white like mine. No markings on it, correct?
I would really have to look at it personally to tell, because it could be a post war manufacture, since there are many known fakes that are very well done.
