I would like to finalize a stabsgefreiter outfit of an infantry group in September 1943. For that, I think to endow it with a 98K rifle. Does this weapon correspond to this rank? Thank you in advance!

It depends on his function and not rank.
But i would go with a k98 as well.

A Stabsgefreiter (in 1943) is a soldier who was not qualified as NCO but had some years of experience under his belt.
