Legal to own demilled MP40 in Germany?

    Legal to own demilled MP40 in Germany?

    Regarding current laws in Germany, is it allowed to sell MP40's with the usual drilled barrels and defaced bolts? Or have recent laws changed ownership laws?

    Hi Robert.

    Due to a recent law you have to re- deact your weapon. At least here in Spain a lot of owners have been forced to send their guns for being welded , which basically means destroying them.
    Unless you have a generic deactivation certificate ( not a named one) you would have to re deact it if you want to sell it.

      I see MP40s and other automatic weapons, complete and in pieces, being sold on German sites such as egun regularly. I'm not sure what the deal is, but they do seem to still be selling them.

        becose there is no problem with that if it is legal made Deko Waffe under BKA ,you can still buy and sell them in DE

              This is only in the case they want to sell their deact weapons.
