    44 BCD 98k question

I have a 1944 BCD 98k S/N 35,XXX. All matching with Yugoslav 1.7RZ stamp on buttstock. No " H" stamp on the stock but, the stock matches the gun. The rifle is blued instead of phosphated.
it is my understanding , from the conflcting, limited information I have been able to obtain, that ALL 5 digit serial numbered BCD's were phosphated.
The first guess would be that the Yugos refurbished the gun. If they did, they did a remarkable job as all original metal stampings are present, extremely crisp and appear to be untouched. The finish appears as one would expect on a late war blued rifle
My question is ---- did BCD actually produce blued rifles at the time this serial number was produced ???
I would most appreciate comments from the membership.

I would say that's not true.....Gustloff was manufacturing G43's well into 1944, and those remained blued....Albeit, they were manufactured at a different factory......

Also, chances are good your rifle would not have remained serial #'d matched had it been completely redone.......Bodes
