Dutch 1873 Army Revolver Cal. 9.4mm

Enjoy this Dutch 1873 Army Revolver in Caliber 9.4mm. I purchased this revolver for $50 in 1980 down on the coast of N.C. along with about 25 guns, in 1983 I traded it for a Mauser 98k Rifle. It was made by J F J BAR of Delf, Holland they made 1300 pistols out of a contract for 13,028 pistols for the Dutch Army. It was made in 1873. Well I was at a recent N.C. Gun Show and there was the same exact pistol for sale. So I had to have it, it cost a heck of a lot more to get it back than what I had initially paid for it. BILL

Very nice Bill, I never seen one before. Is ammo impossible to find? Not that your to shoot it.

I have an original Box of ammo, made in the Dutch East Indies in WW2 for the Dutch East Indies . And Buffalo Arms makes Brass from 41 magnum brass but finding a bullet in 9.4 Dutch is difficult I have a machinist friend of mine making dies and bullets. BILL

Nice collection. Did you sell it all? I once was able to purchase back a DD Luft Helmet that I had sourced out six years ago from an estate sale. It's nice when things come home to Papa! LOL

You can make the cases from 30-30 brass. 20 years ago i used lead .40 bullets for it with a black powder charge.
