    early version of the Gewehrgranatgerät

    like to show a very cool early version of the german Gewehrgranatgerät....thin barrel, but thick screwing....so i assume it is the third version of the GwGrGer, nice markings from 42....please and enjoy

        nice one…..typical mud/waterfind appearance.

        The 2 grooves at the end of the Barrel......nayone knows for sure what they are for? I spent some time researching this and the only Information I found was that it is for a better grip of the protection cap (made of cardbord) that "sealed" the Barrel.
        Any other Information on this?

          thats the only known explanation of these rings...published in the well known book about rifle grenades
