    Need Help Identifying a Rod..

I have this original stacking/cleaning rod or a rod that was made to look like it has a cleaning rod which came with a K98 I purchased awhile back and I'm looking to sell it. It screws in nicely with every K98 I have had and seems to match the length so I'm guessing it is German. I was told it that it probably came off a 22 trainer rifle but I was wondering which one? It's 12 and a half inches long.Seems like there is a little wiggle room when I have in screwed into my k98, not a tight fit. I thought maybe it's kind of rare and I've seen a lot of 22 trainer rifles that are missing these. Maybe someone would know an estimated price something like this would go for once I know exactly what it is.

Very hard to say for certain but if You pushed Me for an answer I would say it has a slightly home or field made look to it.Something about the threaded end and its general appearance in the photos.Happy to be proved wrong though.

I don't know...this came off of a matching K98 rebuild that was untouched...I mean everything was untouched..dry stock and everything. You can see where the bluing is different , the end that would of been exposed, the bluing looks very faded almost a rust color in the light, whereas the bluing on the other end which would of been inside the stock has a darker bluing tone to it. Just guessing that it would take years and years to produce that kind of wear ?The middle has that area which has been rubbed pretty good from being screwed in and out of the gun. I'm just wondering which trainer 22 might of had a 12 1/2" stacking rod?

I'm not sure..It screws in nicely with my all matching BYF 1944. I take it that my BYF would also of had a 12 1/2" cleaning rod. The end of the rod (that has the slot) screws right to the middle of where the sight hood is located.
