MP40 finally at home!

Hi all guys

After a few years hunt I have achieved to buy an original and functional MP40

It is a Bnz41, with its original finish and number matching ( lower with a number and upper receiver with another one)
Extremely crisp bore and barely modified trigger mechanism for making it a semiauto.

It shoots really well.

Yes it is.
In Europe we are not allowed to own full auto guns.

What is mandatory is to lock up in a safe the essential parts

So you can have them displayed if you keep the bolt, firing pin or other essential part inside the safe

Aha, Thanks for the explanation..... nice rules you have there.....

We have to keep them locked away in a safe, with the ammo inside the safe in another safe (we have to keep them separated )

And once a year the police comes unexpected to see if all is correct......

Lucky man over here we can't even be trusted with hand guns let alone MPs! UK that is.

UK's guns laws are so restrictive that if I were a British citizen I would flee as soon as possible from such an authoritarian place.

But here we also have some absurd restricions (no full autos, no foldable stocks, minimum barrel lenghts..)

In fact, Mp40, MP28 and those dont fulfil some of the requirements for being legalized today, but I have been lucky enough and my gun was legalized in the old good days so I have been able to register it at my name without any problem.

Moreover, the way it has been modified to semi auto is just an spring in the sear, so the intervention on the original gun is minimal
