You won't find a complete, legit German wwII sniper for $5000 in an open sale. Maybe when you discover a sleeper in a woodwork, then possible. Matching rifles with mismatch optics start at around 10k.

I have seen this Rifle before , cannot recall if it was Gunbroker or another place . This this is a Complete Fantasy Piece its not even a close configuration to any known type.

If Dave says that, that's what it is. I don't know anyone who studied more and knows more about German snipers.
Somebody invented a story to a fake rifle to move a mistake he got stuck with.
