    is this holster postwar?

this is a Fast Gasser holster and I believe it is not WWI era but for use later, perhaps post WWII even.
Does the GBA mean Austrian Army or police?

    Thanks
    Robert

        Hi Robert!

It is definitely an early post war (1950ties) Austrian Holster for the 1898 Gasser Revolver in 8mm.
"GBA" Stands for Gendarmerie Beschaffungs Amt Wien (Rural Police Procurement Department - Vienna).

The Little pouch is for loose cartriges 8mm Gasser.

Gasser Revolvers have been carried into the 1960`s, by rural Police, or Bundesheer (army) of the 2nd republic.

It is quite easy to find theese holsters in Austria, maybe seldomly overseas.

        Hope it helps,

        Best regards,

        Martin
