    Dating Walther PPK?

An ex-ABN friend has a commercial PPK he picked up during the war, serial 774947, 7.65 cal. high polish blue. Possible to know when it was made?

    Thanks.

    Dave,
I believe your friend's PPK was manufactured in 1932. Hope this helps.

Thanks Bob. It's a beauty! Mint except for a few surface rust spots.

              Early PPK

              Hi Dave:
Indeed your friends pistol was made in 1932 as I have one that is same as new in the box with all the goodies in it.You could call this a transitional variation. From sn 773000 to 777000 the hammer block assembly spring was held in place by a small disk with a screwdriver slit on it.After 777000 they went back to the disk that slipped sideways into a recess in the frame.A really nice collector. Regards Danny
