Unknown Leather RIFLE or MG Sling...??

Hey guys,

This sling came to me with an original NOS 1945 Dated K98 sling.

This one however has no markings, and is a totally different style. Too thick for a K98 as well. Cross-hatching and overall feel, I believe it is German.

Thoughts?

I believe that it is a 50s era FN FAL type sling, maybe Austrian or West German
