The extractor finish is 100% correct and unique for this era of salt blue. The red/purple hue is exactly what one mostly sees on 1938 Mauser 08s.

Definitely refinished, evident from the better photos. Matching mag or not, it's a shooter. Key in 1938 or 1939 Luger on GunBroker. You will see a couple of Lugers with original finish in almost mint state. Typical prices for 98-99% original finish with matching mag are in the neighborhood of 2500. Two matching mags will generally fetch a grand or more.
