High turret sniper rifle

I just got back from our local gun show and one of the dealers was selling a
German "Hight turret sniper rifle" I don't know guns at all. Can someone tell me what this is? Is it just a snipers rifle?
I did not get a chance to talk to the dealer. Maybe tomorrow. I know him from high school. This pice was in great looking condition and was being sold
with single decal SS helmet. It was a named group with documentation on where and when it was picked up and the name of the SS man who carried it.
It was way out of my league. $11,495.
I might go back tommorrow to get more details.
