    SA stamped Beretta M34

    Hello,

I've just purchased this Beretta M34 pistol in 9mm Corto. Is it legit?

    It's the top one:

        Hey Kiwicollector,

Bill is right. SA stands for Suomi Armeei.

        Regards,

Frank is right. That mark is also found on Finland Mosin Nagants.

Thanks for the responses, I know that the SA stamp is the Finnish Army property mark and is seen on almost all Finnish Army equipment. What I wasn't sure about was if they ever purchased Beretta m34 pistols.

I guess what I was asking is if this is a genuine Finnish Army issued pistol or a fantasy item created by some clown with a SA stamp.

            Cheers

            Bas

The Finns purchased both berreta pistols and 7.35 carcano rifles from Italy. Very nice!

Yes it was used oficially in Finland. I just asked a friend who collects weapons used in Finland. In fact he mentioned that he wanted one himself

I had that mark on a Luger loading tool.

Pictures of the holster that came with the pistol (on the left):

The stiching is re-inforced with copper wire, and from the wear on the leather this pistol has been with it for a long time.

(the holster on the right is an Italian one that came with that pistol).
