Recently acquired a Sauer M38 h police Eagle F marked.
Serial number 495949 . Magazine is zinc base with just caliber mark.
Would this be correct for serial range.

Yes , everything is alright .
Seventh Police Option, Number Manufacturing approximately between 487870 - 504740 made 10/1944 - 2/1945.
For the Police, 8000 pieces were delivered .
