    Austrian Cavalry Percussion Pistol M1851

    Hi, I found this Austrian Cavalry Percussion Pistol M1851 with Augustin Consol Lock with some markings on top, maybe some one can explain their meaning please ?

    Side lock accepted 1855, IW could be maker stamp of barell. b.r.Andy

        Thank you Andy, "Side lock accepted 1855," actually that I found about it, it is the date with the first number omitted which happen to be 853, without the 1.
        Other explanation makes sense and I appreciate your input, thank You.
