Hello, it is a nice dreibein 40.

there are yellow or blue, and there are brc and cnx code.

you are a brc, as usual there is no longer the carrying strap.

Yep, nice tan one. Used but not abused. Pity the top fork is missing.

I prefer dreibein for the assembly of a MG42.

Nice find, and in great condition

I have the same one, and also in same colour scheme, but when I got it some parts were missing, it took me a while to find the parts I needed. I have set it up for my MG34.

Great early Dreibein 40 in untouched condition!
I say early because late ones have the adjustable hooks welded in place.
What did you use to clean it?

                Libor,

Fantastic find my friend. It has that “been there” look. A rare bit of kit indeed.

I have a few new additions in the same dept that I will post Monday.

Again good job my friend & thanks for sharing.

Thanks ! And cleaning of items like this is big secret But I will tell you, it is easy and very very good to know ! I use hard side of sponge + benzine or spirit + soft cleaning, it perfectly remove rusty layer on original colour....

This gem arrived via post today.

Not a tripod for MG but for Optics with similar construction.

Just wanted to post for comparison not to hi-jack the thread.

                            Libor,

Thanks....great to see your MG Z collection is growing. Fantastic display.

My tripod is a Kleine Gestell 31.

                            It’s a tripod for a wide range of optics like SF14, RK31 & FU30 etc.

                            It’s made by MEI serial #16001 & dated 1939.

I have it set up with my FU30 at the moment.
