Question about Luftwaffe marked muzzle nut?

    Question about Luftwaffe marked muzzle nut?

    I wanted to check about this piece. Is this Luftwaffe mark, and for what rifle was used for? Thank you. Any help would be appreciated.

    I don't see any Luftwaffe markings that you mention???

    What I do see is a WaA6 proof marking. Which is most likely from Simpson. Which means this is a very early rifle sight hood cover (before 1934). So, based on that, I'm guessing it's probably for a K98b rifle.
