      I got this box from a vet of the free french corps and later in the 2 armoured division that went from port said to berchesgaden.
      He had his thompson inside and I only got the surplus, magazines and cleaning set...This box should have a lot of history to tell...

        Great Find

        Its ashame the gun was not in there,but you still have a small fortune there.Those 50rd mags being original WW2 will bring big dollars.Congrats on a really nice find. Danny

          Very nice find indeed! Transit box for the 1928 Thompson SMG. The drums are going for 500 , and the straight mags for between 25 and 75 depending on type and markings. Those look like 20 rounders and if so you are looking at the higher end of the spectrum. The cleaning rod is correct for the time frame as well, though not worth more than 25 bucks. The box though is rare, so it would go for the neighborhood of 250 to 500 bucks.
