    DRGM |AKAH holser

    Hi All,

    Joined this forum to learn a bit more about a Holster I came across. Similar to the other PPK holsters I've seen on this site, marked DRGM with AKAH and logo. Also stamped on inside with DRP and KLNH( maybe KiNH?) and some kind of barely visible ink stamp. No ammo pouch and looks to have been modified (a long time ago) for a shoulder holster. I'll try and get some pics up shortly rather than trying to describe it

    What a shame. A nice Akah holster marked to the DRP (Deutsches Reichspost) location in Karlsruhe (KLRH), but cut and shoulder straps added. Perhaps done by the vet in Germany or here in the US.

      Agreed, the fate of so many holsters that later end up being sold as 'Panzer crew holsters' or some such

        Thanks for identifying the DRP and KLRH, that's helpful.

        It looks modified to me as well, but I believe it was for function rather than misleading re-sale (but I see your point that it could and would happen).

        Anything I should look for on the strap leather or hardware that might ID? I didn't even notice the DRGM AKAH stamp on the holster at first, let alone the DRP and KLRH marking until I was taking pictures the other day (which brought me here). Thanks again for the help

          I don't know what you would want to ID. A post war GI or someone post war butchered a nice issue Deutsche Reichspost holster to create a shoulder holster for themselves. It was an issue piece,so the DRP owner wouldn't damage DRP material.
