        Long time

I was 13 yrs. old when I found a Beretta M34 'Royal Italian Army' pistol.. That my father brought home from WW2.. I still have it.... He was in North Africa, Italy, Southern France, but I have been collecting steady since college in the 60s...Glad you enjoy the GUNS.. BILL PS. My father is still alive and doing great at 84 yrs. One of his hobbies in WW2 was photography and he has litterly 100s of Great picts that he took with a German camera.. Mostly in Italy and Southern France.........

No words for that .... just one ...GREAT Bill

And a question regarding the sunshield
Does this shield fit only on specific scopes, or does it fit on all scopes
produced for sniper rifles from the different manufacturers

            Regards
            Herbert

Herbert, The sun shield only fits specific scopes which has the small stud as shown in pict. # 11 for attaching... and there are different size sun shields for different size objecive ends on the scope..., I have one scope that does not have a provision for a special sun shield but has a elongated objective tube at the front, with rain drainage holes.. Bill,

Theirs no denying that you have one of the most fantastic collection of German WW2 firearms many of us have ever seen.

My WW2 German sniper rifle was unfortunately turned into a hunting rifle after the war and now, to get it back to its former glory, the complete bottom half has been replaced with a period piece stock. Also the barrel was replaced because the gun was used for many years post war by a hunter. Its probably the best one I will ever get though because the price for such rifles in europe is crazy and to get a completely matching rifle is like trying to find the golden fleece !

Many of us can only dream of owning a quarter of the firearms you have and we sure enjoy seeing them !

I'd love to ask you a couple of questions if I may

What state are you in ? Can you collect and fire full auto ? If so please can we have some pictures of MP40's and MG42 if you have one....

                Regards Roughshooter

                        High turret and stock question?!?

I love the high turret rifle, I would love to know how the stock is proofed- it looks like it has a Waffenamt on the right side of the stock, but it isn't 100% clear in the picture-- basically, does it have any other proof marks on it other than that one? What mark is it- Wa135? I have seen one other semi-Kriegsmodell Mauser stock like yours on a byf45 I think.

I can tell you that finding a REAL matching high turret rifle like that is hard to do- you must have bought all of your guns before anybody thought about collecting them!!! Again- super nice high turret!!!

The markings are in two places and are Eagle Swastika WaA135 located on the Right of the stock, and under the stock toward the rear of the butt..BILL

Crikey Bill, where do you find them!! This is one gorgeous rifle amongst lots that you have shown us. The thing I find most endearing about it are the form tool marks on the rear turret, definitely a late war piece with those marks left in that state.

Aren't you ever tempted to give them one shot down the range? If it was in my cabinet I'd feel my hand reaching out for it every time I headed off to Bisley to make some noise. Still, each to their own!

                              Keep them coming, PLEASE!!!

                              Happy collecting, Peter
