MP40 is it real?

    Sorry if I sound abit stupid chaps when I say "forgotten about" and "somewhere".

    I should explain that I have been collecting for over 30 years, you know, you buy something, look at it, the wife says " sick to death of that lying around, get it out of my sight".

    So I wrap it up, store it away, never have kept a catelouge of what I have, well until now that is!!!

      The clips go around without trouble, with one exception: Some MP38s have a very narrow mag housing, making some magazines "sticking". The magazines are seldom the trouble, the problem most often being the mag well on the MP40.

      Another point for this discussion: The early MP40 also came with the "MP38" bolt handle (although the pictured MP40 has the mid production ribbed mag-well and a cut out for the handle safety).
