The carabiner buckle makes me think it is for an MG42....and perhaps post war. What is the width of the grip buckle? (in cm, please)

                  Sling

                  As far as I know
                  L & F is a WWII manufacturer
                  It works for both models

L&F is a postwar manufacturer too!
The postwar slings from the german army (Bundeswehr) are often marked with this stamp.
The manufacturer L&F gave it in WW2 too but i know no original sling with what marked with "L&F".

                    Many Greetings NORDLAND

WWII sling usable for both MG34 and MG42 would have that big carabiner buckle...but the grip buckle would have a spacer. As the one posted doesn't have such spacer and has the big carabiner buckle it leads me to think it is post war. Perhaps very early post war, though.

See pic from Berflak's article about those:

                        Hi,
                        definetly a postwar sling!
                        I would not buy it!
                        Regards,

I have a very nice light brown, original German WWII Mg42 (which also fits the Mg34) sling in stock. Best regards Tommy, us1945@hotmail.com
