    Converted Mauser .22 help needed.

    Hi folks, i have a Mauser model 1896 in my collection, all numbers matching, which is converted to caliber .22 by Parker-Hale. There is also a Parker-Hale model 16 diopter-sight attached. Could anyone tell me more about this type of rifle please? Is it a training-rifle?
    Help would be much appreciated!
