    Dark brown Walther PP grips

Hi. I just saw an eagle F marked PP with a serial around 355000p. It has dark brown bakelite grips that almost look black unless the light is right. Anyone know how common/rare these are? Thanks

    Brown PP grips

They are uncommon - I have PP 302301P in .22 cal. with Brown Grips, PP 314553P 'RFV' marked with Brown grips and I recently sold PP eagle F 359022P with Brown grips ...I believe that they were interspersed with Black and pressed wood late in the war. About the same time that PPK's were getting some Grey and Black grips and once owned a very late PPK with a white grip that was molded improperly with defects in the checkering, probably for a presentation piece, but rejected and used at the end of the war.
