    Artillery broom handle Mauser

I picked this up this morning. Am I right in thinking that it's an Artillery example?

Case is marked H Clemen Elberteld 1914

The stock has a name in ink written on it, very difficult to see ' Gef Wil?????'

I have zero knowledge of guns in all honesty.

    Thanks

As I say no knowledge of guns. I guessed it was a Mauser!

In front of the four screws is usually a capital D with a crown stamped into the wood.
