i put together a zb26 magazine using a mg13 follower and a mg13 25 round spring instead of flat metal 20 round used by the zb26 ,I also had to hone thickness of mg13 base metal so it would slide into the groove at the bottom of zb26 magazine mg13 is a little thicker than a zb26. I loaded 20 rounds in mag seems to hold them fine. when my fG42 from smg gets here will know for sure about operation . sorry for no pics wouldnt post for me

Iam waiting on a second model from smg. the reason for trying this i can not find any new made zb26 springs .I have tried a spring makers that i have used before for my mp44 but they can not make the flat metal spring. I have read on several forums the zb26 have badly worn out springs . So by using the mg13 and it being for a 25 round magazine and having a wire spring and by using the mg13 follower and the mg13 base plate,it appears to now have a very strong spring inside of a zb26 mag body. I loaded 20 rounds in the mag and they looked to have lined up. I ordered the mg13 mags from IMA and the zb26 from SARCO. The base plate from the mg13 is a wee be thicker and needs to have its edges dremel ed a little bit so the base edge can slide into the groove that runs around the edge of the mag bottom. also the metal spring on the base of the mg13 mag needs to be shortened about 1/4 inch so it can fit under the retainer on the bottom of the zb26 mag
