Hey guys thanks for the add. I am not sure where to start a theead on this but I was wondering where the best place i can buy a german ww2 k98. I had a bad experience on gunbroker any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Sorry to hear about your Gunbroker experience. I've bought several guns there, including a nice all matching K98, and had no trouble (so far).

K98 shooters can be had almost anywhere, though they are likely to be Frankenstein rifles/ refurbs or imported Russian captures in rough shape. For collector K98s I would try going directly to the source by posting in "Want to Buy" sections of collector firearm specific forums, such as http://luger.gunboards.com/forum.php or http://p38forum.com/forums/index.php. Once in a while nice K98 specimens pop up at http://forums.gunboards.com/, but it is frequently scavenged by collectors and good stuff is snapped up quickly.

Join the k98k forum where you will find good people including the authors of the definitive books on k98k's. The picture studies of hundreds of rifles will provide hours of entertainment and learning. I sell my guns there.

I second Gunboards forums. Ive had good experiences buying and selling there. Scott is right however, stuff gets snagged real fast so you have to be vigilant all the time.
