Looks like a nice original M1, pretty early too with the early lower band. Is the stock marked? Seems a bit worn but if I had the chance I would certainly buy it(depending on price naturally). I love that ”patina”! Also where is the rifle located? EU?
Edit: circled P on pistol grip, any markings on stock at left side of receiver? Also, the first serial digit looks a bit weird, might be the lightning.

7 in serial number appears to be hand stamped. Could you post a picture of the serial number in natural light (without the flash)?
As previous poster ask, are there any stock markings on left side of stock near the end of the receiver. Again a good picture taken in natural light would help.Comment

Thanks for the photo. Serial number is correct.
The stock marking I mentioned would be in the location shown in my photo, but would be SA over E***. (Well, for some reason the forum won't show the stock marking which should be E Mc F.)
Front sight seal is missing from front sight screw, and I would have expected to see a checkered elevation knob rather than the knurled knob.
