        After fees I heard the lot went to close to 18k...not much meat left on the bone at that price IMO. The report I heard most things at the auction went for very high prices

          Buyers premium as 23% and it sold for 17K USD, so do the math. Most people bidding knew what was in there and bid to win, and I agree the prices went higher than what you hope to find at auction. Some relatively common stuff went higher than retail, and the Civil War items brought crazy prices.

          That's OK though - plenty of other sleeper items out there, and the hunt is half the fun. This is just good reassurance the stuff is still surfacing and resurfacing for sale.

            I was the other bidder who was competing for it and was at the auction. The winner was off the internet and not in the room. Unfortunately I had to back out at a certain price.
