Bill ; the couple SA and SS DSM34's I have seen that had "light" markings were all due to some refinishing at one point post german use. Have seen one SS marked DSM that hd the runes almost obliterated by a veteran with his messkit knife .

I have seen one other light stamp on the model BSW 625C and know of another in Tenn. with shallow stamps and they all were BSW 625C with half of the markings shallow and the other half normal.. I also have SS DSM34, and KKW SA and they are uniform deep stamped yet on the SA KKW the SA unit markings are shallow and almost not visible to the naked eye IE: 16/30... BILL

Mine's got a very distinct "SA der NSDAP" mark, but no group or unit mark that I can find. It's also a BSW.
