Hi Guys, while discussing availability of 7.62 x 25 inert ammo in another thread we got talking about these magazines. I have taken a few snaps of mine. I would really like to find out more about them and the different makers and nationalities (Chinese and Yugoslav, etc, etc.) variations.
I know that the early Soviet made mags featured a "bell shaped" flared mouth to the mag (which I recall were marked with a star stamped on them). I lack one of these and I am on the lookout for one or three
Here is a photo of the three I own, together with a PPS mag on the far right for comparison purposes. I was very surprised to learn when I bought my PPS that the mags were not interchangable Not something I would have expected from the Soviets.
I beleive but could be wrong that the example on the far left is Soviet made?
The far right mag PPSh41 has a parkerised type phoshate finish. The other two are blued.
Cheers, Ade.
