    K98 S/42 1937 sporter or rework value?

I'm a newbie to the site so please be gentle. I was looking at a K98 marked S/42 1937 and 30.06 on the top of the barrel and from what I could see all matching numbers and It now has a nice hardwood modern stock on it. I don't have any pics yet. I guess all the historical value is gone but is it worth buying as a hunting rifle and for how much?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

While the remaining parts are all matching, virtually every part on a 1937 K98k rifle would have been serial numbered and are now gone. As a hunting rifle it would now have little value as compared to a modern sporting rifle.

Thank you for the input. I think I can pick up real cheap like for 50 bucks then either use it for parts or a shooter.

The matching action alone is worth about $200.

Well, that's good news I guess I'll pick it up then. I sure wish it was an untouched 1937 K98. Thank you for all your help.
