    New find

This items were in GI trunk until yesterday. I do not remember last time I pulled out items like this that did not see oil in very long time. Cool piece is HP p38 which was in military p38 holster dated 1943 with another magazine. Gun is probably 98%, it does not look like it had a lot of use. M36 dagger handle was so dry that it cracked as I was pulling it out of scabbard. I treated everything with oil, for last two days so they look much better.

            Great haul - congrats!

Is the HP pre-war variant considered much more rare than a typical P38?

Any differences from the wartime model?

They only made 24-25k of them, so that makes them not very common. About 6-7k went to Sweden so that takes from the total of the ones left in Germany.
