WWII PPK Holster?

Hi Folks,

This holster was supposedly taken, along with a PPK, from a German at the end of WWII. The quality is only so-so, and I was wondering if it looks authentic to the hive?

The name / serial number, that's partially visible on the inside of the flap, is the fella who brought it home.

It would actually be better if the pictures were resized smaller where the entire holster can be seen in one frame without having to scroll it across the screen.

Not consistent with others I've studied...

Stitching is poor, belt loop too narrow, not typical pattern or placement.
Thread bright white, almost as if "Gestern Gemacht"
Flap retaining strap suggests postwar construction.
square cut leather inside over grip area also appears suspect.
I'd pass on it, myself.
However, other members are more expert than me and may disagree.
