8mm tracer ammo was described as "S.m.K L'Spur" so why would they call it something else? An ammo can filled with tracer ammo makes no sense as well. Perhaps it is for some other sort of munition. Like flares....

Hello, I agree, but that is just one hypothesis that could hold the way.
This case could hold the cartridge stock to assemble the tapes later. And not necessarily for the fight.
