    American Dummy Gun Collectors

I'm looking for some help from any non-gun/deact collectors in the USA. I'm trying to pen a short piece on the subject and I'd love to chat with another collector. Anyone?

Can you believe it. I just saw this post. I collect a few dummy WW2 guns as they are very expensive otherwise aside from the legal issues involved. The ones I have have all have original parts on dummy recievers so they look good and are a good representation.

I too collect these. From what I've read it does sound like the parts kits will still be around. Just means IMA won't be importing any "new" kits. So what is here is what there is...I guess that isn't too bad, but worries me none the less.

Well at least the value will go up on what you do have.

          The current collection is:

MG-34, MP-44, PPSh-41 and an AK-47. All non-firing. I also have a MkII Martini-Henry that technically can fire but I'd never risk it!

Great collection. I have added to mine over the years. So far I have dummy MG-34, MG-42, MP-40, Baretta M1938, and an MP-44. I am getting in an MP-41, and an MP-34. I'll have to see how they look to see if I keep them.

WW2 machine gun parts kit just go up and up. Look how much a mp-40 part kit sells for...
