Caliber is 8mm french lebel.
My question is it a copy of a colt or a S&W

It has both Colt and S&W features. The cylinder release is similar to a Colt whereas the shape of the trigger guard is like a an S&W. Probably a copy of a Colt Police Positive or Army Special in .38

My thought was about a colt police with some characteristic of a S&W. But it was difficult to ascertain my opinions.
