Mauser Help

Hello,

I am trying to do some research on the Company Mauser, but I'm not sure exactly where to further this research. I have contacted them directly (still waiting for reply), does anyone have a list of products they made during zee war, where their plants were, how many employees, etc.. etc...

Any help or pointers of books, websites or just good old information is gratefully received.

The book "K98k The Backbone of the Wehrmacht" holds some info on this subject.

They made a lot of products during the war time. Well known are for example the P08, P38, K98 and G41 M. They made other weapons as well plus they made parts for other weapons factories.

Mauser help

Today's Mauser operation in Oberndorf is limited to current 20mm automatic cannon production and it's doubtful if they could give you any direct help.
However, the city's Mauser museum in Oberndorf might provide you with some assistance. I have their small foldout brochure (in German) that has both history and photos of the various Mauser products. Contact the museum at:

I managed to find their website: http://www.waffenmuseum-oberndorf.de/, this could be a good start.
